Call-out Join us on Saturday to show our solidarity with the people of Gaza and their Great Return March. Stop the killing! |

We’re calling on all our members and supporters to join us on Saturday.
Once again we are bracing ourselves for another day of violence on Friday, perpetrated by the Israeli military against the unarmed people of Gaza on their Great Return March. Some reports put the death toll at 30 since the start of the protests on March 30th, with at least 1500 injured. Last Friday the celebrated Palestinian journalist Yaser Murtaja, co-founder of Ain Media production company, was shot in the abdomen by Israeli snipers perched on a hilltop on Gaza’s border, despite the fact he was wearing a vest clearly marked ‘PRESS’. Yaser later died of his injuries in a Gaza hospital.
And now we hear that the Israelis have resumed bombing Gaza, with at least one Palestinian killed today and several others injured.
Together with supporters of the Palestinians all over the world, we will stand in solidarity with the people of Gaza on Saturday, for a vigil and demonstration at the Clock Tower starting at 12 noon. We need a really strong turnout on Saturday to get the message across – last Saturday hundreds took to the streets in London, Sheffield, Bristol and many other cities. We want to contribute to this national effort here in Brighton.
And you can write to the Foreign Secretary to voice your anger by using the PSC’s online letter here.
